  2. I love, love, love chocolate milk! My favorite thing to drink. I use diet Quick in my milk and then can have 2 glasses instead of one!

  3. I've never understood how chocolate milk can be touted as a health food. It would be like encouraging kids (and adults) to eat caramel apples because apples are good for you. Both have WAY too much sugar. Just eat the whole food and leave the sugar behind. Chocolate milk has no place as a regular part of any diet. Perhaps a treat that you make yourself but not store bought and definitely not in school lunches!

    1. Milk, white and flavored, is naturally packed with nutrients; protein, calcium, potassium, phosphorus, and vitamins. Chocolate milk contains sugar, but that doesn’t cancel out the value of the nutrients it provides children and adults. I drink flavored milk and so do my children.

      I’m room mom in my son’s class and was at school today for a classroom party. I brought single serves of white and flavored milk. The kids also had the choice to drink a juice/punch beverage. Almost every child picked flavored milk and many came back for seconds. I would much rather provide them with flavored milk than punch, soda or other sweetened beverages which contain little to no nutrients.
