Beautiful Fall Season at the Farm

Fall is a wonderful time of year; colorful trees, crisp air and, when were lucky, sunshine. Here are some of my favorite scenes from our farm this fall.

The colorful trees welcome people up the driveway of our farm. . . .

Up the hill to our farm. . . .

It's milking time: a group of cows walking from their freestall barn to the milking parlor. . . .

Headed down the lane. . . .

Some of the cows stop to examine me. . . .

She wants a closer look. . . .

They've reached their destination. . . .

We hope to chop this field of corn in the next few days. . . .

Lad hauling manure - he's coming back to load his tank and then out to the fields to apply it. . . .

Visitors attending our "Open Farm Days" enjoy a hayride. . . .

The hayride takes guests to the freestall barn to see where the cows live. . . .

Visitors watching the cows being milked. . . .

Two young visitors make a friend. . . .

Garrett and Jack show these curious boys our bulk milk tanks. . . .

Playing in the Junior Dairyman Play Area. . . .

My boys do some artwork while waiting for more visitors to arrive at our farm. . . .

Jack with two cozy cats. . . .

A lively hayride. . . .

My strong working man takes a break for a little fun. . . .

It was great having my parents visit from California - they helped with three Open Farm Days. . . .

The view from the balcony of our farm . . .

The trees in front of our house. . .

We're fortunate to live in Ohio where the fall scenery is beautiful. It's a gift we appreciate because we know what's coming next - snow!
